Hi and thank you for visiting my website.  My name is Tina Cerqua and I am excited to share with you my craft.

A friend one day encouraged me to go to a folk-art class with her.  I wasn’t too interested but thought it would be an enjoyable way to spend some time.  One class and I was hooked!

I later started taking classes with Judy McDonald in Ajax, Ontario where she introduced me to many different styles of painting including oils and a style of decorative painting referred to as “Stroke work”. Judy herself had learnt from one of the best, Maureen Calvert McNaughton. Maureen is renowned throughout the industry and her teachings have taken her around the world.  Many of my projects are either designed by Maureen or have been influenced by her designs.

While attending an open house at Judy McDonald’s a couple of years ago I found myself once again fascinated and intrigued with her card classes but one style in particular “Pergamano”.

By combining my love of painting and parchment craft I am able to create beautifully handcrafted pieces of art, cards and in particular invitations.  I have now created beautiful one of a kind wedding invitations for a number of weddings. I am very lucky to have married a man that shares my love of craft as he himself became interested in furniture making.  While honing his own craft form he is able to make many of the wood pieces you see here on this website.  Check under the category furniture and see the beautiful pieces of furniture Tony has created.
